  2. I kind of disagree on that 7th question. Because answer: 'Helps to check that we have built the right product' is saying that we have built something what our customer wanted so it's validation. If it would be verification that it would be: 'Helps to check that we have built the product right', basically as per specified requirements. Isn't it so ?

  3. I have a question regarding Q.17. Why "The Test Cases Derived from use cases are most useful in uncovering defects in the process flows during real world use of the system"?

I would rather say that are most useful during testing use of the system. What is the use of such test cases when product is "in the field" or I misunderstand the term "during real world use".

    1. Dear Reena, I agree with You, I support your point. This is a very very very very "tricky" question. Anyone writing this question was unaware of the fact that the questions are supposed to be based on the syllabus material. Syllabus chapter 1.3 Seven Testing Principles (K2) clearly states: "Principle 2 – Exhaustive testing is impossible". Period. "except for trivial cases" is certainly in the Syllabus, but it is not mentioned in the question.. so it is certainly asked in a wrong way to get the correct answer..

  9. "Testing everything (all combinations of inputs and preconditions) is not feasible except for trivial cases" as mentioned in ISTQB foundation book. Hence Exhaustive testing is impractical but it may be possible for small cases.

    1. Dear Anjana, question is not mentioning we are talking about a trivial case. Question is talking in general. Principle no. 2. is clearly saying it is impossible to test everything. You were right, if the question specifically would mention it is a trivial case. But it doesn't.

    2. Otherwise the syllabus is contradicting itself in this matter..
