  1. Could somebody please explain the answer on question 21. Because for me all the answers are wrong, mainly because 'Premium' everywhere is 0.

  2. Hi Kautkas- I think,the answers are wrongly given. Premiums can not be 0 as per the illustration. If it is, we can not identify excess value also....Can i request ISTQB Team to please explain the answers so that we all can understand it properly. Thanks-mukta

  3. @ Kautkas - Or the answers can be -
    A. 23 year old in insurance class A Premium is 90 and excess is 2,500.
    B. 51 year old in insurance class C Premium is 70 and excess is 500.
    C. 31 year old in insurance class B Premium is 70 and excess is 2,500.
    D. 43 year old in insurance class C Premium is 70 and excess is 1,000.

    Then, answer can be 'A'....Please correct me,if am wroong.

  4. The code snippet in question 16 is really hard to read because of its format - is it done on purpose?

    Additionally question 21 has broken answers (it has already been indicated in the above comment(s).

    1. Hi White,

      this code is really badly formatted, I'm not sure if it's done on purpose or not (one of my comments above). Nevertheless let me re-write is slightly:

      if width > length then
      __biggest_dimension = width
      __if height > width then
      ____biggest_dimension = height
      __end_if
      else
      __biggest_dimension = length
      __if height > length then
      ____biggest_dimension = height
      __end_if
      end_if

      Right now it is easier to notice that in order to test all branches you really need 4 test cases:

      1.1 width > length & height > width
      1.2 width > length & height < width
      2.1 width < length & height > length
      2.2 width < length & height < length

      hope it helps.

    2. This is path coverage, about decision coverage only need 2 test case: 1.1 width > length & height > width and
      2.2 width < length & height < length
      I thinks, please let me if I am wrong.

  8. q24 :I think you are doing 20% of 100 i.e. 80.

    Read the question carefully.Question isn't asking for price. It is asking for
    "number of printer cartridges ordered".

    so, boundary values (for number of printer cartridges ordered 5 -100 ) are -
    4,5,6,99,100,101.

    1. for Boundary value analysis

      Mid is 5 and max is 100
      so in c option:
      4,5,99
      4 is less than mid
      5 is mid value
      and 99 is less than max value

  9. Q. 14: Which of the following is a MAJOR task of test implementation and execution?
    A. Measuring and analyzing results.
    B. Reporting discrepancies as incidents.
    C. Identifying test conditions or test requirements.
    D. Assessing if more tests are needed.

    Answer for Q.14 is 'A' as per my opinion. If a Project has 1000 Test Cases, in implementation & execution we have to analyze results for all of them, measure test execution % completed, etc., will be Major Task than reporting discrepancies which will be less # of incidents/defect (than TCs. Correct me if I am wrong.
